[Guide] How to Play The Game
This is My version on how to Play the game, with the hope that more players can learn from it and help me learn things from them by correcting me if i am wrong.
Once you enter the game, You are greeted by Hypetia, who is your Guide to the game. I suggest you take her tutorial.
Lets begin by a Building Overview:
Rectorate: This is your townhall, all activity are undertaken in rectorate. You can adjust resource production, manage city and wildernesses, adjust tax rate. The higher the level of rectorate the faster the construction time and more wildernesses you can occupy.
Start by building Cottages (when you click the clearing or the empty space in your city) you will get a builders overview, just select the building you want to build.
Cottages give you more population capacity thereby enabling you to build higher level rectorate. This will allow you to get more people to work for you, as well as bring in more people to tax . the tax help bring in the Sesterces. You can only build 1 building at once. To add more building s to build Que you need to use item called Motivational Speech.
Building Overview:
Then Start upgrading Your resource Building. There are four types of resources Crops, Lumber, Stone and Iron. Click on the respective resource field to upgrade. You can alos increase the resource capacity by creating Jobs. The green number under your population indicator shows how many people are jobless. If it gets close to or on 0, you should expand your population
I suggest the players follow the Quest tasks and upgrade other buildings to gain extra resources and other items from the quest task to speed up the growth.
Try to get the mines to level 5, rectorate to level 4 and other buildings to a decent level. Please Note that you have a 7 day immunity and if your rectorate is level 5 u will lose immunity immediately. Before the immunity period expires, you should get a military force, you will want to create your second city. To do this you need to have gained the Aedile rank. To get this rank you need to have achieved 2,000 Prestige, 20,000 Sesterces and some luxury items - 10 Dye, 5 Spices.
Note the Units eat up crops so you should just build enough not to over eat your production capacity and have something to spare for other upgrades.
Building Tab Overview:
Prestige is primal counter to rank of players and leagues and is gained through improving your cities. Building and upgrading buildings, creating new jobs, researching technologies, fortifying your Walls and training Troops all increase your prestige rating. As you increase prestige, you will be promoted to a higher noble rank, The higher your noble rank, the more cities you are able to build

The Academy and University allow you to research skills which will give you higher resource production. University Studies are for resource production and construction technologies. The higher its level, the faster a study is completed and the more advanced technologies can be studied. Academy Studies all sorts of military technologies. The higher its level, the faster a study is completed and the more advanced technologies can be studied
The basic Difference between academy and University is that University Studies civil tech and Academy researches military tech.

Now its time to get Troops, get around 250 hastatus and 200 sagittaraus/Archers, now you are ready to seize some wilderness. Please note that u can attack level 1 to level 2 wilderness with this troops at max. the higher level require more troops as NPC are stronger.

There are 4 types of wilderness:
1) Bush Or Forest : It gives you a boost in lumber production
2) Lake/River/Stream : Gives you boost in crop production
3) Hill/Mountain/plateau : Give you a boost in Iron Production
4) Desert/Sand/cliff : give you a boost in Stone production
The Level of rectorate allows you to control/ Occupy the number of Wildernesses. He higher the level of Rectorate the more wilderness you can occupy.
Luxury Items :
When You Maraud or Seize a Wildernesses you stand chance to win Luxury items, Same Levels of Wild give you Same Items but the luxury items found differ with level of the Wildernesses.

Level 3 -- Spice
Level 4 -- Wine
Level 5 -- Wool
Level 6 -- Silk
Level 7 -- Furs
Level 8 -- Incense
Level 9 -- Ivory
Level 10 -- Diamond
The Temple allows you to select a God, there are 3 Gods to choose from, There are three Juno, which buffs population. Jupiter, which buffs building time. Minerva, which buffs troop training.
Selection of Gods is ones own Choice, Jupiter will help help reduce the construction time in your city so you can build more cottages for more population in lesser time, while Juno will need less cottages but still have the same pop as another city with more cottages cause of the population Buffer he provides and Minerva will help reduce the troop training time, thereby reducing the need for more barracks.
So, Use
Jupiter – Jupiter helps shorten build time of buildings which will help in troop production and resource production due to the ability to build cottages (population) faster
Minerva -- If you want high production troops with few barracks.
Juno -- if you want to make plenty of Sesterces
You can have a diffetent God for each city so I suggest u use your brain and select the best combination.
Note: You can change your God only if you have Lucretius Poem. Which you can win from Zodiac Wheel.
Zodiac Wheel:
Zodiac wheel is a Fortune wheel, the essence is that you sacrifice a zodiac goat in the zodiac ceremony to please and win favour from Gods, Each Spin costs 5 Gold or Zodiac goat to spin.

You gain a Zodiac Goat from daily Quest.
Note : To Expand your City and Expand the rectorate higher than Level 4 u need a Hippodamian Plan, you can get it from doing Quest or Buying from the Item Mall.
Rankings:
Your ranking is Determined by the Noble rank and then by Prestige. To view the ranking, click the rank Tab on right hand Top Corner.
Besides The Rank and Prestige You also gain Honor, The Honor is determined by your battles, the more Outmanuvering (wins) u have the more your honor.
You can see it besides your avatar.
Changing Avatars and Flags :
You can change your avatar by clicking on the avatar Picture, you can select from predefined pictures and also change your S-X.
You can alos change your Profile settings and Flag by clicking the name icon on your avatar
You can change Your name using "Nom de Gurre"
You can Change The Signature message
You can Change the Heraldy (Flag) by using "Heraldic flag"

Allegiance :
Allegiance is the loyalty of the people in your city, calculated by formula Allegiance = 100 - Tax Rate - Grievance. Allegiance will always be under 100 no matter what the tax rate is.
Tax rate:
Suppose the tax rate is 30% your population is 10000, then your population will be 7000 and gain of Sesterces will be 30% of the current population.
at 40% tax sesterces production will be 40% and so on (when u adjust tax it takes 6 minutes to adjust to new tax rate)
Population:
Stable Population = Max Population x Allegiance x 0.01
Colonization:
Colonize attack increases the Grievance by 5 of the city being colonized
Riots:
Riots occur in your City when Allegiance is low (drops below 50%), reducing population and destroying part of your Resources.
How to gain Independence:
Once you have been colonized you can use the following to gain Independence. to avoid attack you can relocate your city using "Movers" or "
recison Mover". You can (Buy/get from wild) use Cease-fire to avoid getting Marauded or Colonized for 12 Hours but this wont stop the current Maraud nor Colonize and there is a 12 hour wait period after you use ceasefire.A War of Independence in the first 24 hours only
